I started exploring Unitarian Universalism in high school and college but it wasn’t until after college and moving to Greensboro 43 years ago that I became a dedicated UU. I currently have the honor of chairing the Ministerial Search Committee as well as being on the usher committee and the Pastoral Care Committee. I was married to a UU Community minister, Steven Reinhartsen, until his sudden death in 2012.
I am enjoying my retirement from middle school counseling by doing volunteer work, hiking, reading, line dancing, and traveling. My most recent trip was with the Friendship Force Exchange Club to Brazil where my host spoke no English and I do not speak Portuguese. It was a challenging and rewarding experience.
I look forward to my work on the search committee where we all speak “UU” and where we all are looking for the best match for our community.
